Making time to thrive.

BayTree partners with busy leaders, freeing them to focus on what only they can, and want, to do.

A collaboration in success

Since 2008, BayTree has been supporting businesses with trusted, outsourced operational expertise. We partner with business owners, leadership teams and membership organisations to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

When you work with us, we carefully match you with a dedicated BayTree Executive Assistant who becomes an integral part of your business. Proactive, organised and solutions-focused, we take responsibility for your to-do list and help you stay one step ahead.

As your needs grow, we grow with you. Many of our clients choose to work with us as long-term, remote partners, leaning on our wider team to streamline processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and free up valuable time.

Why people come to us

The reasons clients refer us

Most of our growth comes from introductions. Here is what people say when they make them:

"The main benefit is you’re getting an intelligent but affordable resource. Our BayTree EA makes suggestions and offers solutions."

Richard Turvill – Director, Swiss & Camplings Laundry

"We continue to scale the BayTree resource up and down in line with the needs of the business, whether that is specific projects or to release my own time."

Warren Smyth – CEO Abbeycroft Leisure

"Our experience is that their role was always about enabling, taking what had been decided and making it happen in a clear, organised way."

Peter van der Knaap – President of the European Evaluation Society

No, BayTree EAs are not employed by clients as employees. BayTree EAs are self-employed and their BayTree client portfolio is managed by the BayTree Operations Team.

Generally, we charge for time worked and invoice monthly. Our BayTree Executive Assistants record their time using Harvest software and our Operations Team manage the invoicing centrally.

Bay Tree Executive Assistants generally work remotely but some have experience supporting clients at events, trade fairs and conferences where they attend in person. We can also attend briefings or regular Board meetings for example. Occasionally, we support clients by attending meetings and events abroad.

Yes, currently all our BayTree Executive Assistants operate from the UK but can work with clients nationally and internationally.

All of the BayTree Executive Assistants choose to work part-time because they have made lifestyle choices that benefit a work/life balance. They may change the amount of hours they work as their personal circumstances change.

Our clients are typically business-to-business companies or professionals.  Our core hours of work are therefore between 09:00 -18:00, Monday to Friday, although there is some flexibility to this.

Freelance or virtual Executive Assistants typically charge between £25–£50+ per hour, depending on experience and complexity of work. Senior executive-level support is often quoted at £40–£50+ per hour. Unlike many other providers, BayTree is a managed service, and our standard rate is £35 per hour, although rates vary depending on specialist skills or projects.

According to UK research over 98% of EAs identify as female.

Our experience has led us to put in a minimum monthly charge of 10 hrs so that the service is meaningful for all parties.

Confidentiality and discretion are cornerstones of our line of work.  It is only the BayTree Executive Assistant assigned to work with you that has access to your systems and processes.  We do not have a ‘centralised typing pool’ model – it is very much based on a 1-2-1 service and as such information and access are confined to who is directly doing the work.

We are a managed service though, so our Client Services will have an understanding of the brief or role and will liaise with you about how the working relationship is going, but again, this is handled professionally.

Confidentiality is covered in the Terms & Conditions that accompany our Service Form.

Yes, this is quite standard and we are happy to do so if required.

It is possible to be up and running in 48 hours for help with an ad hoc task. However, for our typical service - to go through the initial discussion, matching process, chemistry meeting and sign up - usually takes a couple of weeks, depending on availability from both sides.

If this is the first time of working with an outsourced Executive Assistant, we recommend starting with a budget of 15-20 hrs a month. This will enable your BayTree Executive Assistant to not only complete certain tasks but also get to grips with internal communications, culture and working practices. The more you share and involve your BayTree EA, the more impact and support they will be able to give. After the three-month settling in period, Client Services will review how things are going with you and make any necessary adjustments.
